Zekler launches new range – including eyewear, hearing and respiratory protection

Skydda is now relaunching its Zekler brand. The brand will not only offer eye protection but also hearing and respiratory protection. Unfortunately personal protection is not always used when it should be and in some cases it is used incorrectly. Zekler is hoping that its innovative new range will help contribute to wider use of personal protection equipment.

“It’s not enough that protective wear should ‘do its job’. It also has to be comfortable to wear and, most importantly, not interfere with your work, otherwise it just won’t be used. This is why Zekler is now investing in an extended range that offers a combination of performance comfort and design in a variety of models and fittings,” says Maria Wiland, Product Manager for Zekler at Skydda.

During product development Zekler takes special efforts to create products that are comfortable and easy to wear. Whether its products are designed to protect the eyesight, hearing or breathing of users, they need to be worn whenever there is a risk, and that means they must fit the individual and the task perfectly.

To ensure Zekler’s products meet users’ needs they are tested at workplaces, mainly in building and industrial applications. One company that has tested Zekler’s new hearing protection range is IRO, which manufactures weft feeders and permanent magnet motors:

“We naturally want to have a say in the products we use daily, so we tested Zekler’s new hearing protectors,” says Fredrik Rosell, Property Manager, operation and maintenance at IRO. “We provided feedback on aspects such as performance, design, comfort, radio reception, listening and adjustability, and reported the fact that everyone preferred Zekler’s hearing protectors to the ones they currently use. Comfort was the area where they scored highest.”

Clear new guidance will also make it easy to find the right size, fit and performance.

Fitting guide for eyewear
Zekler is the only brand in the market to offer eyewear in Small, Medium and Large sizes, which should make it easier for wearers to find the right fit. The website can also help you choose the right eye protection based on what work you do. This lets you choose features such as lens colour, anti-fog treatment and various adjustment options.

Guide to attenuation levels for hearing protection
A guide to Zekler’s hearing protection range now makes it easier for users to find the right products. Using Zekler’s grading system users can quickly choose a suitable hearing protector, grouped by attenuation level into class 1, 2 or 3.

High-performance respiratory protection
Zekler’s new respiratory protectors offer excellent performance, largely due to the composition of the filter material. This keeps particle penetration low while giving minimal resistance to exhalation. Zekler has also put a lot of effort into optimising fit and comfort, since these factors have a big impact on how often respiratory protection is worn, and hence on its effectiveness.

Zekler’s new products will be available in stores from the second week of October.
